Crystals come in a wide range of colours and finishes. Opals have a less sparkly finish.

Crystals also come with AB finish which stands for 'Auroras Boreales' aka The Northern Lights. This finish is available in a number of colour-ways and adds rainbow like effects.
VILLAIN CRYSTALS
Reds and blacks can appear less sparkly in the mouth and are better placed on front teeth where the light can catch them best. Placement is key with these shades.
VILLAIN CRYSTALS
Pinks, purples and blues are a really popular colour choice as they have more delicate hues, compliment the skin and have a more whitening effect to the teeth.
What Are Tooth Gems?
1. Consultation
A thorough consultation with Jessica to discuss your medical history, treatment goals and create a customised treatment plan, ensuring you are a good candidate for the procedure and desired gem that works with your anatomy.
2. Gem Selection
Prior to commencing treatment we will spend a good portion going through the wide selection of gems, from classic clear round and colours, to shapes, gold pieces and multi-crystal designs.
Once chosen, we will size you up with our sizers and make sure your designed gem is a suitable fit for your anatomy.
3. Treatment
We spend the rest of the appointment going through our 3-step application technique using dental grade products and high quality lead-free crystals.
4. The Big Reveal
Now is the chance to oggle your brand new sparkles! I will give you ample time to look at them glistening in the mirror and take a few snaps/videos for your client file.
5. Aftercare
I provide you with a written copy of all your aftercare guidance as well as talking through each step. It is imperative the aftercare is followed to ensure longevity of your gems.

Are you a dentist?
No. I am a qualified ex-registered and non-practicing Dental Nurse (previous GDC registration no: 255193), who duel qualified in Orthodontic Nursing and Dental Radiography. I have since further qualified as a Tooth Gem Technician to safely apply your tooth gems ONLY. I won’t remove them (only a registered Dental Practitioner can) and can’t help if you have a toothache! If you are experiencing dental issues, please call your local dental practice for an appointment with your Dentist or Hygiene Therapist.
What is a Tooth Gem?
Tooth Gems are small, decorative pieces that are applied to the surface of the tooth to add a touch of sparkle and glam. Tooth gems can come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colours, allowing individuals to customise their smiles in a unique and creative way.
How long do Tooth Gems last?
Tooth Gems typically last anywhere from 6-12 months, however have been known to last infinitely longer. It depends on a multitude of factors, including how well you followed the aftercare.
Is it painful?
No not at all. No drilling, no holes. The treatment is superficial.
How does the process work?
The process is similar to that of fitting braces, we clean the tooth, protect the enamel, and then using adhesive, we apply the crystal or gold piece of your choice, securing it in place with a light cure.
How long does the procedure take?
It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours depending on the size of your gem stack.
What is the aftercare?
Aftercare instructions typically include avoiding water, sun exposure, and exercise for a few days, keeping the lips moisturised, and avoiding certain foods and drinks.
We provided a very high quality range of aftercare balms and tonics in your post-care goodie bag to ensure you look after your healing process in an optimal manner.
Is there any downtime after procedure?
You will need to avoid eating for 2 hours post application, but you won't need to do much else.
Can I still floss?
Yes, but I would recommend switching to interdental brushes instead. I will show you them at your appointment.
Do you use superglue?
We do not use super glue, nail glue or any other adhesives in this vein to secure your crystals. The adhesive used is a dental grade composite, the same type used to attach your braces, it is completely safe for use in the mouth.
Can Tooth Gems be removed?
Yes of course! We understand you like to change up your style; the same way you might change your hair or piercings, everything we do is completely reversible with ZERO damage. Simply go to your local dentist or hygiene therapist for safe removal. We recommend asking for a private hygienist appointment, this painless treatment will clean your teeth and it’ll be like nothing was ever there.
Can I have Tooth Gems on veneers?
Unfortunately, tooth gems do not bond well to porcelain or ceramic surfaces and won’t stay for the long term. If you have a mix of natural tooth tissue and veneers, we can apply crystals to the natural teeth around them instead.

At Villian we are committed to providing the best service for your new jewels and provide all the knowledge you need to care for them. For this reason, should your crystal de-bond within the first 12 weeks (which can happen sometimes!) we will re-fit free of charge.
GOLD PIECES
If you are unable to retrieve your gold piece and lose it, we will not be able to cover the cost of a new piece of gold, so this will be chargeable at your appointment. Only the cost of fitting your gold will be covered under the 3 Month Guarantee. Gold pieces at cost price are usually between £50-£80.
